O.T.T.O: Objective to Trace and Traverse Obstacles

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

A majority of household robots utilize collision detection to traverse a room full of objects. Let's face the facts; as funny as it can be to hear it bump into something, it's not efficient or safe for the objects and robot. So, as three students thought, you may ask "How can that be fixed?" The answer is here: the Objective to Trace and Traverse Obstacles rover!

O.T.T.O. roams about the house, and always checks both ways before crossing the street to safely navigate his newfound path on the fly. His eyes, an ultrasonic sensor, turn by a servo motor to survey the path directly in front of him, and detect where an obstacle is, and travels in the first unblocked path he finds.
